Meet Dr. Matthew Vaccaro

Vaccaro Aesthetic and Family Dentistry is a full-service practice focused on delivering superior care in all phases of dentistry. The head of our practice, Dr. Matthew Vaccaro, is a talented and experienced dentist who owned and operated a successful cosmetic and family dental care practice in Morristown, New Jersey for 16 years, and has now begun a new chapter by opening Vaccaro Aesthetic and Family Dentistry in the Chatham and Green Village area.

Dr. Matthew Vaccaro has undergone extensive training in cosmetic dentistry. He has more than 20 years of experience performing aesthetic treatments, from simple procedures to the most complex cases. Dr. Vaccaro prides himself on maintaining healthy smiles among his patients. This means that his dental hygiene team is highly trained and thorough. Dr. Vaccaro and his team strive to deliver superior preventive and periodontal treatment solutions that can provide effective improvement of oral health. They place a strong focus on diagnosis to precisely identify areas of concern, and employ many of the latest technologies to pinpoint virtually any type of dental or periodontal issue you may be experiencing.

“My lifelong interest in science, combined with my desire to help people, led me to dentistry. Through the course of my education, helping others has been a central goal. In my practice today, giving people sometimes life-changing results is the most rewarding part of what I do. The work I did in college, dental school, and my post-graduate residency at Morristown Medical Center gave me the solid foundation that I need to provide the kind of quality care my patients expect, and allows me to meet my personal and professional goals.

I have been able to improve upon my abilities through countless hours of continuing education. Most recently I completed the training program at the prestigious Dawson Academy. This program is a two-year, multi-level training for experienced doctors who want to focus on complex treatment plans and full mouth rehabilitation.

We focus on providing our patients with a balanced bite so the systems (teeth, muscles, nerves, and soft tissue) can work in harmony. One of the greatest benefits of working in this practice is the availability of the best equipment and most modern technology being used in dentistry today. The combination of my skills and these advancements ultimately lead to constantly improving care for my patients.”

“It is my hope to give each patient long lasting dentistry in a comfortable and relaxed setting. One of my best qualities is my ability to relate to my patients, understand their specific issues that may cause anxiety, and interact and care for them in a light, relaxed chairside manner. It is much easier for patients to return to the practice when they are comfortable and know that their dentist cares about them.

I even offer a sedation dentistry option for patients who cannot overcome their dental fears. A trained dental-specific anesthesiologist is available to help comfort you before treatment and bring you back once the treatments are completed.”

Dr. Vaccaro has served as an Attending Dentist at Morristown Medical Center since 2001 and teaches the residents each year in practice management, cosmetics, and restorative dentistry using the CEREC^® machine. His educational history includes:

• Bucknell University – Bachelor of Science in Biology, Minor in Chemistry
• State University of New York at Buffalo-School of Dental Medicine – Graduated Cum Laude with a Minor in Prosthodontics

Dr. Vaccaro was honored with two awards in dental school for Implant Restorations and Fixed Prosthodontics. Also, with the fields of cosmetic and restorative dentistry changing so rapidly, Dr. Vaccaro never considers his education complete. “Offering the finest care means diligently expanding my knowledge through continuing education. I am currently participating with two study clubs. We meet monthly to review the latest techniques, materials, tips and tricks, and technological advancements that may help us provide the ultimate patient experience and quality care.”

In addition to his private dental practice, Dr. Vaccaro is a proud husband and father. He married his high school sweetheart and has three boys. Dr. Vaccaro particularly enjoys spending time with Charlie, Alex, and Finn while coaching their basketball and lacrosse teams. He is also an avid golfer and enjoys swimming. In fact, Dr. Vaccaro competed on the water polo and swim teams while at Bucknell University.
