What Is a CEREC Dental Restoration?
CEREC is a CAD/CAM technology that gives our practice the ability to fabricate dental restorations here in our office on the same day of your appointment. This means you will not need to worry about an ill-fitting temporary crown or coming back for a follow-up appointment.
CEREC is the acronym for Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics. During your procedure, Dr. Vaccaro will scan your teeth to get a digital impression, prepare the tooth to be treated, then place your new restoration—all in one visit to our dental office.
The Benefits of Choosing CEREC Same-Day Dental Crowns
If you have ever had a traditional dental crown that was made in an outside lab, you will appreciate the benefits of CEREC crowns:
- Digital impressions mean you won’t have to deal with messy paste. We’ll use our state-of-the-art technology to make accurate, comfortable impressions of your teeth.
- You won’t have to deal with a temporary crown while you wait two weeks for the lab to fabricate your crown.

Do CEREC Dental Crowns and Veneers Look Natural—Even as Good as Those Made Traditionally?
It might almost seem too good to be true that something fabricated while you wait can be as good as something that takes a couple of weeks. But rest assured that CEREC restorations look and feel just like your natural teeth. Unlike the porcelain-fused-to-metal crowns, you might have received in the past—identifiable by the telltale dark, metal margin at the gum line—CEREC crowns are made from metal-free porcelain. They look and function just like your natural teeth. No one will even know you’ve had dental work done—unless you tell them!
CEREC crowns can also be stained and glazed in our oven to blend in seamlessly with your natural teeth.
How Much Do CEREC Dental Crowns Cost?
CEREC dental crowns often cost in the range of $1,000 to $2,500 here at Vaccaro Aesthetic and Family Dentistry. The price of these restorative procedures is frequently different among patients according to the type of materials utilized, the complexity and extent of the treatment, and other factors. When your treatment plan is developed during the initial consultation, a member of our dental team will calculate a total cost estimate and answer any questions you may have. Our practice accepts a number of dental insurance plans, as well as a variety of payment methods. We also work with CareCredit®, a financing company that offers qualified applicants a variety of convenient payment plans that can be used for dental care.
